Default who ever said BDSC & SQ collars were the same I disagree

1. BDSC collars are stiffer and harder to get off

2. SW is softer and so much lighter and easier to get off

Yeah but when you start ScH you will love that BDSC collar for it's stiffness! I have one collar I used for training Sydney and one that was her "house" collar...

My buddy has a SW 2 ply deer skin lined collar that I gave him cuz it didn't fit my dogs. He's had a dog hitting the end of a chain on that collar for a year now.... It is STILL stiff and hard to get off!!! A great collar obviously, but it takes a pry bar to get off lol!

If padded leather is the way you want to go... I have never used one nor have I seen one used, but I'm sure it would work just sounds unecessarily expensive. My buddy's parents make all our collars and they are great and only $10! Can't beat it

Good question...what/who is BDSC?

BullDog Supply Company BDSC =3
They are hard to get off and they hurt. I had the orange one get stuck and Mark had to try to get it off Riley's neck. It scared me so I will never order from them again.

Syd, you are right about the expensive part. leather collar or a padded collar either way they'd be more money out the pocket but if she is gonna be active and moving I want something that wont rash her out like bulldogs collar did. You are lucky you pay only 10 dollars for collars deff cant beat that!!

Does she just rash easy??? I have never had a problem with Sydney's neck rashing up and her fur is pretty thin compared to my other two.

I can try to pick one up for you if you would want to try one...it may be the end of May before I see them though.

no, I never had any issues with her past collars. it was the bulldog collar that rashed her out and I am wondering if it was too thick for her neck or too loose, maybe the rashing was caused by her pulling on her leash? I really dont know what caused it, but every time she wore it she would get a rubbing rash under her neck. Now with Stillwater I use the 1.5 show collar as an everyday use collar and havent had any rashing from it and the 2" is for walks which she pulls sometimes but even when she does I havent found any rub marks...atleast not yet.

I wouldn't mind trying one out. =) and that is fine. lol I am pretty patient when it comes to waiting.

we had the sw 1.5 show on peanut for like 4 months when we finally decided to ditch it because it rubbed all his fur on his neck off. not sure but think it was the stiffness of the nylon we are going with leather so we can stop buying collars all the time.
