wasn't sure where to put this. So sorry if it's in the wrong section. Anyways I'm looking to buy a slatmill preferbly in payments. Any one has one they want to get rid of or knows somebody? In no hurry either; want it for summer workouts so I have all coming winter to wait. Just with the tx scorching summer + my work hours = a tight window of opportunity for me and the dogs to hit the road.

Kevin, from what I've seen and after talking with the manufacturer I'd sure bet this is as good as any ones. But as far as a payment plan I think it's cash on the barrel head. Sidekick, if you've got the cash take out a secured loan and you will have payed your self back. If you're like me I'd start putting it in a break proof piggy bank.

i'm saving for the dog trotter. i'll buy it after taxes. my city introduced a law stating you can't walk your pit without a muzzle and they are enforcing it. from now on walks will just be pulling chains or a light tire. i'll have to carry a bat around. bsl sucks. anyway....i'm sure sooner or later they will ban pits and want us all to get them neutered/spayed. i'm getting the dog trotter so when they have to go into hiding i'll be ready.

The dog trotter looks like a good one. even if if you could let your dog run for miles the tread mills offer a different kind of muscle development. George Baileys jumping hurtles is another good one to vary the work outs. Remember to give them some rest. Happy New year to all.

i made sure to get the accubrake for that extra resistance. i bought it early. the dogs look like they were having so much fun on the videos, it's winter time, mine are getting fat, and my yard looks like one big mud pit from playing laser tag in the morning and night (i went through 12 bales of straw i sprinkle over the yard). i'll be able to iron my clothes, watch tv, or do whatever and still work the dogs. no more worries about other dogs off leash. i try to vary the workouts with seasonal swimming, flirt pole, bitesleeve, laser, springpole, biking, dragging chains, tug of war, a-frame, frisbee, hills (i'll go to the top, she'll go to the bottom and we'll switch turns calling the dogs) and hunting. i'm going to have to remember that the mill alone isn't enough but i'm going to reduce their conditioning trips outside the house/yard to 2x a week.

i bought it (well my mom did and i pitched in) on Monday. its a grand deluxe we got it off craigslist BRAND new never used. I will post pictures of him soon. he just started using it this week but i can tell he is getting a different workout on it then he did with us running together he.
we have flat city streets. this is incline he digs much deeper when he is running on the mill then he does on the road with me. it did take a day to get him used to it though now if i ask "wanna go running"? he goes right over to it and starts to get up on it. he loves it.

Share the wealth please. I'd love to see the video. I've been off for a while and this time of year my dogs are out more and in better shape but it would still be a nice addition. I've seen a few Schutzund dogs that loved the carpet mill, same reaction as yours. They loved it. Plus, I love to show a cut dog.
