It is so dis-heartening. I wish they would of put it on hold or suspended it, until they figured things out. The worst part is sometimes the cart pulls so easy, you may only get one or two pulls and will reach your maximum percent and are done. So, it won't even be good for training young dogs.

Here I hurried up and single registered all my gamebred dogs with UKC n case I ever wanted to WP them or their progeny. I wasted my time and money if this is how it is going to be. What a big let down.

Hey, I'm not that dissapointed, cause I was expecting some changes...but never in my mind would've come up with these kinda changes...lol
I couldn't pull my boy in UKC for a long time anyway, due to having no GR class up on the eat coast, that's why I had to travel in April to NC....only a 12 hr drive to find competition..and that WAS my last UKC WP trip for sure!!!
And now no gr classes, my dog have all the titles, so really what's the point of going to a ukc pull???? So I can bring him in for one round?
Yeah.I let all those show people do their Pee-wee weight pulling....i'm sure they'll have fun now, that they can buy their titles much easier...

Only the show people can't see that with their "fabulous" dogs,they think it's great,but it's actually teaching the dogs to give up, and not to work hard...But why would they bother,their dogs never had work ethic anyways eh??? :rolleyes:

Well and I dont want to offend anyone with this statement but they did what they always seemed to want to do, they took the competition out of weight pull. Now it really is a feel good association!

There were some really good pull dogs in the UKC with alot of heart and talent. By and large, alot of mediocre dogs with titles, Now, it will be subpar dogs with titles. They took all the serious competitors and just ran them off!

Whats worse, if you did have a good UKC WP titled dog, they just craped on your title and all the work it did take to get it. I mean lets just give the title away now! I just friended them on FB so I could tell them Im disgusted!

Not exactly!!!Now you will have to go to a lot more shows(UKC money making plan:rolleyes:),to finish your titles, cause the MWP amd MWPP extra points are gone!
For an example my boy got his Gr and Gr1 titles in total of 10 pulls,now I would HAVE to go to 75!!!! events for the same titles!!!:eek::eek:

UWP X 3
UWPCH X 5
UWPCHX X 13
GRAND X 25
GRAND1 X 50
Now this is only if your dog pulls the 20 points every time,if not,then it's a lot more. 96*25$=2400$ only in entries...

I think they knew EXACTLY what they were doing. They "appear" to be keeping the program but they wanted all the APBT gone so this is their way of turning their back on the breed that got them started without looking like they are doing it.

I have never been a big fan of UKC Weightpull because I felt the titles were to easy. Your dog earned points for pulling as long as it could pull pretty much anyway you didnt have to place to get points. You have to earn 3 legs before you could earn points and you could earn 20 points a day by how much your dog could pull times its body weight once you passed the 20 point mark which i belive was 20 x your dogs body weight might have been 40 dont know never got that far into it. but after that you couldnt earn any more points that day unless you got mwp I always said they should make it harder not easier. So I dont see alot of differenee here except you spend more money to get that title and it takes you longer good dog or no good dog. I never pulled UKC before because of the way they were. I went to support a friends club when I could but it was the only UKC I did. Have a dog I took 4 days first 3 where his legs. Last one he earned his 20 pts for the day and I havent took him back. 4 more days and he would have earned his first title but I doubt I take him back. Not a big UKC fan anyways never was just love to support friends when I can

Yup, but IMO they didn't exactly went after the apbt's,it was more of any good pulling dogs.
I see, the show apbt breeders are still thanking and kissing up to UKC, I bet they will continue, cause you know, titles go on the crap-pedigree....:rolleyes:

It's too funny to read the comments on the ukc board, most of the people who are thanking them to keep the program, are the ones, with crap pull dogs.
And the ones that will open their mouth and say the truth,will get banned...hmmm.
