So after being a member for awhile now Im just now realizing I have never written a proper introduction of myself . I'm a pitbull lover from birth , My father R.I.P was a pit bull lover and my grandpa was a lover of all bull type dogs in general , If I can ever figure out how to load pics I can show you some of the ones my grandpa has with his noble black pit by his side .When I was 8 I decided I wanted a dog of my own . my mother and I drove what seemed like forever and Finally we pulled into a long drive way , That day was the day I got my very first APBT Trent . No Show pit , Just a good down home , Layed Back , farm pup . He was the first one I saw out of the liter and it was love , didnt have to, nor did I want to look at any other. My child hood was spent mostly with him , walking him and taking him on camping trips with my dad . Then last xmas Eve Trent passed away at ten years old =[ it was the most depressing day of my life . But he went happily in his favortie spot , next to the heat vent on my pillow that he would pull off my bed daily while I was at school . In july the following year one of my best friends had a litter of puppies and while I do NOT support byb I knew the mother and father of the pups and was really wanting the companionship back that I had with Trent . So on my birthday this year my lovely hubby Brought me home a bouncing baby pit bull puppy , With glowing eyes and some of the most unique markings you would ever see on a white and seal dog . {hopefully will have pics up soon} And thats where this saga began , I didnt realize all the work my mom had put in all those years with Trent . But now raising Izzo in a way seems a little more rewarding in its own ways . there will be many more stories to share and many more hardships to pass but all in all Im a bull lover at heart , and just want to see the breed thrive the way Ive always seen it at home .

Welcome to the forum! Just a friendly word of advice - do NOT let city officials know you have an APBT. They are BANNED in Hazel Park since 2008. Sadly, we were there fighting it and they still passed it.
Pet Licensing
All licensing is based on the length of your pet’s rabies vaccination. One year ($8), two years ($12), three years ($16). You will have to provide proof of rabies vaccination. Contact the City Clerk’s office with any questions regarding Amendment to Title 6 Animals, Chapter 6.04, Section 6.04.205 Dangerous animals defined-procedure, prohibiting or regulating the owning or keeping of dangerous animals including pit bull dogs, providing for permits for certain animals, penalties and violations.
From their site: Licenses & Permits (http://hazelpark.org/city-clerk/licenses-a-permits)

They know I have a apbt , The law isnt very well maintained persay around the area I live . They have actually been to my home and pretty much told me keep her in eyesight and make sure I keep her up to date on shots . Other then that they really had nothing else to say .. but I was worried about it until they actually came and said that to me . Thank you though
