i have been wanting to get ace started on something like weight pulling he is a large dog,and i know he would love somthing like this but i have never done anything with this sport and i would like to get hands on training for us if there was something close to shelbyville tn.
Well you live in the right place Tenn is covered with puller there is a big ADBA show in ga next weekend you should try to make it there is also an UKC weight club in athens tenn
http://www.brownspitbullconnection.com/ troy runs the club and also makes damn good harness I live in Alabama about an hour from the from the state line on I65 but the best thing to do is go to pulls and meet pullers all you need is a harness and time to start working just take it slow

To get you started here are a few things that you would/ might need to test him and see if this is a sport that your dog is interested in.

The sled that we made as you will see, was of no cost, just simply some stuff that was laying around my dads yard, and a welder. I would not put to much money into it until you find out if this is a sport your dog would like, however this should cover the basics for you.
Good luck!

while a sled is nice to have i wouldnt worry about one till your deep in it you can use anything that you can hook to as drag weight and you need to start light so if you had a sled it would need yo be empty
