It sounds like these english game dogs were kept seperate from the rish gamedogs for a reason. As with much of this country in the earlier parts of its existance segregation was rampant. what are the major reasons you feel these dogs were kept seperate in the first place and why were they eventually crosed with eachother?

...... i mean if the blood was pure to begin with why , after it was crossed, was it stil considered the "pure bood"?

Thanks for the article mrchatnjack!! as usual it was a great read. Thanks to you to earl for all youve done for us bull dog owners.

What current bloodlines are heavily influenced by Tudors dogs? Is there even a answer to that? Since Tudor had some amazing dogs, i was wondering if these dogs are represented currently in a bloodline.

Mayfield (a lot through Nigger), Battendorf, Alligator and Lonzo dogs are heavy if not mostly pure Dibo (Tudor) blood.

Alligator was also the cornerstone of Gary Hammond's bloodline.

Thanks for the info. I have been reading a lot about individual Tudor dogs and was wondering what bloodlines carry on these dogs. Are the Tudor family still into the APBT's as the Colby's?
