I find it interesting that these "rescuers" of rescue ink go on their n threaten to kick this already trialed "dog fighters" ass. So this seems to be the image of rescue organizations in general! They bully people, they lie, cheat, and steal. All the while the public applauds their actions. What a world we live in.

I did! He gave the guy the first couple of minutes to talk, unfortunately I understood what the guy was trying to say, but no one else in the audiance or I am sure at home would have understood.

They all gasped when he said he had probably killed a couple hundred dogs(Dr. Phil asked him how many dogs he had killed in his lifetime) by shooting them in his lifetime (rather then letting them starve or suffer) yet they were all cool with the statistic that "every 6 seconds in America an animal is 'humanely uthanized'" This was kinda a funny part cause the dogfighter said "dead is dead doesn't matter if they are shot or 'humanely uthanized'" The man had a point, but the deck was stacked WAY against him.

I am not saying I condone dogfighting because I do not, but I agree it has become far worse for the dogs involved now that it is no longer able to be regulated. There are points to be made in relation to what the sport of dog fighting was to what "Dog Fighting" has become portrayed as...and this man was trying to make these points, but to no avail.

Oh and might I add that Paris Hilton makes me want to vomit :vomitbuddy:

How is a debate fair when you got 10+ members of sum rescue and "Dr" Phil to 1 man?! I don't know WTF this guy was thinking going on there to be crucified.

Who said it was a debate...he was there for ratings. I still think that man knew he had only a small window to state his case, and at the very least put forth a few "words for thought" and it seemed as if he went on that stage and thought "I'll wing it"

I don't think he shouldve gone on stage personally. Some things are better left out of the ignorant publics eye.

Dan your right, it only adds fuel to the fire. It is all about ratings and playing to the mob. As Dr Phil would say,how do you feel. Chris Mercer

i think he was trying to change the public eye, but like his lawyer said they already had their mind made up about him and dog fighters in general. he went on t.v. and said that people have the wrong idea of a true dogman and the wanna be crackheads and others that dont have a clue and ruined what use to be a gentlemans sport. and i agree with what he said about vick. vick isnt remorseful he would prolly still do it if he wasnt being watched he just said what the public and media wanted to hear, plus in an interview i seen with vick he said he would change some things he did and do them differently. im not a dog fighter and it is none of my business what people do with their dogs or life, but their use to be a right way and wrong way, whether anybody likes it or not,and this is what this guy was trying to get across. he was also busted in a raid where the local sheriff's department bought and trained dogs to fight the night they busted him, why is it right for sheriff's department, and then those dogs they trained where put down. but it is a violation of your constitutional right to say you cant do what you want with your own property. dogs are considered family but also can be listed as personal property. only reason it is illegal is cause government cant keep up with all the money to tax it. jmo. you dont have to agree or disagree
