Portion Pacer

Peanut and Jade are fast eaters. We been looking for something to slow them down. We found this thing called the portion pacer at Petsmart yesterday. It is this pretty big ceramic ball that you place into the bowl when they are eating (or drinking) and they have to move the ball around to get to the food or water. So far it has made a difference meals are taking a bit longer to eat and the water isnt being drunk until Jade throws up. So far it is working pretty good.

This is good idea. Lizzie is a real horker so if she doesn't start eating like a lady I'm going to have to get one of these.

Nice, I have never seen these before, blanca eats like she may never eat again, i might try this out.

we actually came across it at the pet store. it has slowed Peanut down A LOT. it now takes him a little over a minute to eat a cup of food...i can now walk away before he finishes his food. since using it over the past few days he has had less burps and farts...that alone i am excited about.

lol somebody is getting rich off that lol. I always just threw a rock or ball in my dogs food bowl and then when I started having dogs eat bowls I found that just scattering it in the bottom of their crates slowed them down too.

thats great. this is the first type of ball Peanut cant pick up i think its due to the size and the material. the one we got was ceramic.
Laura what type of bowls are your dogs tearing up? thats amazing. We use stainless steel bowls here
