Well i just had a visit from Chuck Simmons Private Investigator for N&A in Ga. I seen him snooping around my yard with binoculars and camera. Told me he was looking for property and his name was Harley. I took him to back side of my yard and said that property is for sale. Asked him where he parked and there was no car there. Came in the house made sure it was him and went to other side of my property and ran into him looking at my yard. I said man dude you wanting to buy my property you have a lot of interest in my yard and dogs, and after about 10 mins of arguing he said he was Chuck Simmons. Said he had a tip that i was a dog fighter cause i was seen working my dogs and using a treadmill, i said yeah i do work my dogs, but i dont know how anybody seen my treadmill it is in a building and i said it is not against the law to work my dogs or own a treadmill. He asked if he could look at my dogs and i said sure can and i will show you my treadmill, breaksticks, hanging scales and weight pull harnesses and track, i have nothing to hide. he said you have pedigrees i said yes i sure do. started asking me about certain names and i said yes i sure do have them in my pedigrees is there a problem with that, i said these are apbt and most dogs came off or associated with these lines somewhere in pedigree. Show him all my show ribbons and wp ribbons and dogs. he said they look emaciated i said no just conditioned for show ring and wp i said there is a difference and showed him muscle tone and said feel solid muscles so cant be emaciated. he said with me having 20 dogs and all the equipment i could be considered a dog fighter, i said well that is the problem with all the stuff on t.v that people that are like me are dog fighters, and i said not true. I even told him he could come watch me train my dogs and i would teach him how to pull dogs and that i am President of the Ga APBT Assoc, NKC club, i pull UKC and APA and whenever he wanted to go he could ride with me and i would teach him something. He video my yard so we will see if they come back tomorrow or next week.

I have seen your dogs, and they look great, not even close to being emaciated. I bet they will use any and every excuse to label you a animal abuser or dog fighter, so they can raid your yard, steal your dogs, and make money out of the whole thing.

I think what you did was the right thing, you showed him everything, that you have nothing to hide. I think it would be good to document every little thing he did, and also have pictures and videos of your own yard. Because i am sure they take a picture of a poop here and say your whole yard is filthy.

I'm a active member of the U.S. armed forces, I have to stay in shape. Is it that bad of a thing that I want my dog to be in shape to. It's not like we are even training and conditioning our dogs against there will. they love it.

You would think that with all the bigest looser and weight loss products out there we might get some sort of award for working or dogs and keeping them in shape but no they automatically think that all we do is beat the dogs and fight them and dont feed them. i contacted a lawyer and everybody i know. bad thing is my vet dont look at a conditioned dog as being they are emaciated. i deal with it everytime i go get rabies shots.
i thought about telling him to leave but then i knew he would comeback and prolly comeback with more manpower. i have mixed feeling about what i did, but i feel like if you have nothing to hide not wrong to show, but on other hand these are pitbulls and any thing they can turn around they will.

Wow thats some crazy stuff. I would talk to a lawyer to see what you should do incase they try something crazy. I dont know if I would be able to hold my cool if I saw someone snooping around my yard and then find out who he reall is.

I can't speak for everyone else but I feel like you handled it the right way. It is true that you have nothing to hide and we all know that they are going to use every excuse possable to investigate you. I would document the yard in every way posable, both video and picture. I would also take extra steps to make sure all the dogs have clean water, food and their area is cleaned up.

I have a few pictures of your dogs at the GA show that i can lighten up and send to you. Thats the most recent thing i would have since its winter lol. I would get a camera and go take pictures of your dogs now and post them somewhere online so that if they come in and take those pictures you will still have them. My camera automaticly puts dates on and takes video. Its really funny that this is happening so close to together but yet so far apart ( you know what I mean) Somebody is doing this its just figuring out who it is

oh no hes not leaving anybody alone. What he does is this. He walks around your yard with a camera while its RAINING so that he can't be heard if caught he saids hes looking for property to buy and gives a false name. Then later they come back might be a few days might be a few weeks but they come back with HSUS and remove your dogs from the primises. They will either have you arrested with charges of animal neglect or dogfighting or they wont depends on how much you push the issue of them taking your dogs. After word they will hold your dogs for evaluation why they try to us the simplest evidence to prosecute you. Including breaksticks, mills, chains, weights, harnesses, meds, etc. They will also try to use any and I mean any marks on your dogs against you even if they are small. They are on a role and while none of the people have been convicted yet recently. Most are still awaiting trail. The cases on Joe Woodall Ray Beavers and Randall Thoxton have been dropped and dogs have been returned just recently. Just watch yourself this is a witch hunt.

no they where returned overweight which isnt really a bad thing but some of Joe Woodall's dogs were returned with messed up feet from being in concrete kennels and the other dogs from the other two cases I have no info on yet cause not all of the dogs have been picked up yet to see the damages or how many are left. oh marty they will be stopped one way or another. Alabama has tight property owner laws. Property owners in Alabama can pretty much do what ever is nessary to protect their property and family if their is not a warrant involved. And I will be damned if I sign over my dogs. When they get done with GA they will move forward. They have alot of office locations and everybody needs to watch their backs. They will regret trying to take my dogs without a warrant and law inforcement present.

It really makes me sick to hear people say just cause you have a dog on a chain or a runner and a 50 gal barrel for shelter that its animal cruelity. These people are idiots. Chuck simmons is an idiot as well. 50 gal barrels are safer for dogs anyway. Also its better for the dogs to be outside on runners than in kennels they get better excersise that way. not suppose to be on hear but so far so good. some of you can get p-off if you want but i contacted my local animal control and had them document my dogs and they said there is nothing wrong, and county i live sheriff wont come out with n/a, hsus will be animal control and they said they wont come. also was told simmons contacted them last week asking about my dogs and they said they have been watching me for years and have not found anything wrong with my dogs or what i do. so all of you that b***h about your local AC this is one time being on good terms with them is going to help out. i can do this cause i do nothing illegal with my dogs, and my local AC does not agree with what they are doing in Ga. they watched all the videos on simmons and norred & assoc. not over but i have a lot of back up and fire power right now, so they do come they will be looking real stupid. local AC also said if they tried to charge me with any animal cruelty then it was done after my dogs left my yard

i want to add something to this i posted on another board. i know there is a discussion some where on here already. my kids where watching animal planet tonight and they re-aired the show from two weeks ago, anyways my 5 yr old and 9 yr old came running to me and said daddy come watch this stupid stuff about pitbulls, i told them i already seen it. both kids at same time said they are idiots just cause people own mills, hanging scales and break sticks does not make them dog fighters, they said we own all of this and we dont fight dogs. then they seen simmons and said is the guy you caught and i said yes, and they said why didnt you kick his butt, i told them life isnt fair, but we will have to rely on justice system and all we can do right now is leave up to god what happens, bad thing is now every time dogs bark they are running out side and checking. i think it is pretty sad when little kids see what they are trying to do on t.v.

good job and yeah it is sad my son realizes the same thing. That the people that own these dogs are being targeted. Its not fair to them when we are trying to teach them the right way to raise this breed and giving them something productive to do with dogs and they turn around and accuse us of the one thing we are trying to change in this breed. We do all this hard work to take a stand against bsl and to give people other things to do with their dogs besides fighting like weightpull and shows and we end up being accused and labeled as the enemy. These poor kids are having to learn just because you do the right thing and you want to make a difference doesnt mean your considered innocent that your still guilty even though you're not doing anything wrong. Its really sad. What makes it worse is we have kids out shooting other kids and staying in trouble because their parents haven't given them anything productive to do with time. There parents aren't teaching these kids morals and how to live in this world but those that try to direct their kids in the right direction, give them something productive and respectable to do with their dogs and teaching them morals and responsibility are the ones taking the b.s. Our kids are the future of this breed and the future of our society if we can't teach them what they need to be doing with this breed and how to live their lives on the good side then What are we suppose to do?
