Its public knowledge that I'm no big fan of Dave Wilsons but a fact is a fact and the fact is that their article on Razors Edge is written from a very distorted perspective and with numerous inaccuracies and omissions. The largest omission being credit not being attributed to Dave's former girlfriend Jeannie Howe, "Gr. Ch. Throwin Knuckles" true, real and legal owner. Jeannie trained, showed and championed every UKC Razors Edge dog you see in a pedigree today. Knuckles is very, very dog aggressive to other males. He could care less about a female (unless provoked) or a puppy, but none the less dog aggressive which made him hard to show in the UKC and something Jeannie desirves credit for. Cairo was Jeannie's favorite and losing him really hurt so she kept a male named Noble off of him. When Jeannie and Dave split up she moved into an apartment where she could only have one dog. She needed somewhere for one of them to stay and a friend offered to take Knuckles temporarily. Noble was just a puppy and was easier to take care of so he stayed with her and a friend of mine named Warren Shaw who has been friends with Jeannie forever about two years later ended up keeping Knuckles for a while.

The first every registered ADBA Razors Edge breeding was from a Mayfield stud named Zeus to a Mayfield bitch. Dave gave the dog for free to a friend of his named Curt Plater. Curt Plater actually owned the very first ever Razors Edge dog.

Dave Wilson also owned the very first Presa Canary ever in this country. He actually got the club in the islands the program to start their registry as he was friends with the head of the club in the Canary Islands in Spain. In return they sent him the very first Presa Canary ever in the USA, he was only three months old. Contary to internet rumor Dave only kept him until he was five months old when at that time he placed him with two of his friends named Steve and Carla of Alexandria Va. who later went on to become Presa Canary breeders.

Theres more on the RE saga but... another time.

As far as the article titled "History of Amstaff/Blue APBTS", just like I stated in another post on this forum... "I originally posted this article on another online forum simular to this one several years ago only to have it stolen and republished on another web site without my permission and without being credited as its author. I have not nor will I post any more of my book research online because of actions such as this until my book is finished. Since my article has been reproduced so many times now and in many cases "changed" in the wording, I thought I would share it with all of you here in its original format. Enjoy!"

My original article / post was taken off of www . game - dog . com (another very good APBT forum) even though it included a copyright disclaimer and notice. There have been several debates on it there. Most I deleted a year or two ago because they also included matirial I didn't want stolen.
