lol sony playstation 3 = dvd player for me (regular dvds not even bluray) its just easier to use then the dvd player :o

Uh maybe because Sony made the biggest mistake ever and pulled the 60gig PS3 which was the only one that was fully backwards compatible to make room for the larger 80 gig and the cheaper 40 gig. Their frame rate ratio still beats out the XBox 360 though and most games that where 360 exclusive are now on the PS3 as well (like bioshock which I am stoked about) and unlike the 360 the PS3 is not prone to the ever popular red ring of death and comes with a blue ray player and the hard drive it which is was lacking before so really the 360's only saving grace is Halo.

Lack of exclusive games is the real killer. Its what made the ps2 the big success. Now you can pretty much have all the ps3 on a cheaper console the 360, and the graphics are equally good.

The only cool thing about the ps3 is its got a lot of potential for tech junkies, i was thinking of buying one and converting it to a home computer.

We acquired a PS3 from a family member who wanted to "borrow" money, and so we took the PS3 as trade. We have used it once in 2 years. We love our xbox. Netflix playing through xbox is great!

But christy I had no idea you was such a hardcore gamer lol

Oh and apparently the new ps3 slim model was the systems saving grace, it supplied the much needed price drop. At the cost of cheaper manufacturing expenses. But an exploit for the ps3 came out by a hacker named geohot that has sony's panties in such an uproar that sony disabled the second OS feature in there latest firmware update.

Yeah I know I'm a dork to for knowing all this stuff.

The only reason I will ever buy a PS3 is because of the Blu-Ray player. Everyone that plays COD on PS3 is a bunch of newbs and campers.
