What is a 4th generation Pedigree?

I wrote a post to my blog about this title. Please let me know what you guys thing about the article all feedback is welcome.

2nd generation = 25%

3rd generation = 12.5%

4th generation = 6.25%

5th generation = 3.125%

....and so on right up to the 10th generation which exerts a 0.01% influence.
