and the neverending challenge of living with dogs in the middle of the city.
I so envy those of you who have real winters and can grow lilac, peonies, rhododendron, roses (I keep trying and there are varieties that can live here) etc. But, here in Houston, we can grow lots of tropicals. I have a very rude neighbor who hates my dogs, with even ruder dogs, a schoodle and an old cranky cocker, who stick their noses through my fence and try to attack both dogs and people. I've been trying to build a wall of flowers for the past year. Well, we dug up the corpse of a rose last week and Jimmy said, go online and look at hibiscus, we know we can do those. So, here is a wonderful website I'd like to share with those of you in warmer climates:

We got:
Anasazi Maiden

In the Mood
http://www.hiddenvalleynaturearts.com/acatalog/inthemoodinfo.html
Dark Nebula
http://www.hiddenvalleynaturearts.com/acatalog/darknebulainfo.html
I got this one for the wall of plants between us and the panaderia in the front yard; the smokey lavender color is the color of our house.
Voodoo Magic, for my friend Sian Min who just lost her 8 year old rescue pit, Bosco, to cancer

If you're really into flowers, check out Charles' page, what a job, what a guy!
All plants arrived promptly and in great condition.
