View Full Version : Discolored Tooth?

The other day I noticed that one of Loki's canines is discolored. From what I read by just googling it, I am a little concerned about it. The entire tooth is just darker, like a greyish, yellowish color. His gums are not irritated, swollen or bleeding, so I don't think it's an infection. My real concern is that he might have damaged it while using the spring pole.
Anyone have any experience or knowledge with this?

Now that I see the pics up close I am noticing that his gums are a bit inflamed....
Damn...

that just looks like a irritated tooth. I would brush his teeth and then lay off any chewing or straining for a little bit. If the discoloration gets worse I would get it checked out. It could have possibly gotten hung while playing on a rope and caused damaged.

he could have a damaged root. bruising caused by blood build up in the root wich stains the tooth. kinda like a bruise......just let him take it easy for a while. ice chews would be good.

It's been consistantly the same for the last couple of days. I will keep an eye on it.
We've already stopped his spring pole activities for the time being.
Thanks everyone!
Should it return to it's original color if it is a bruised tooth?

Hummm good question. I wouldnt think so sense the tooth has already changed colors but I dont know. I think someone else might know more on that one. Keep us posted though and let us know what happens.
