the newer photo shops can be very discouraging at first. There is so much on them and so much you can do with them. I absolutely love them and have spent hours playing on them. Not lately cause Ive been really busy but I do alot with them including the stetch work you have seen. Im a big photo junky so any photo i get I gotta play with it in several ways. Imagine me before I broke my new camera with those 1200 photos i took in two months geez I stayed up long hours of the night on those lol. Its very addicting.

Its a hard program to get used to its designed for graphic artists. You can download the bible though if you really want to, I prefer to just click on stuff randomly and see what they do lol.

There is always Paint Shop Pro too, its easier to use but not as much cool stuff.

yeah the cs series is pretty pricey, there are ways around it though. You can download it off limewire or find a hacked version, just gotta be careful a lot of the time they are loaded with viruses.

Photoshop is not catered towards the mass audience, thats why its soo pricey. They dont mind people pirating it, i mean for such a expensive software, it sure has shitty protection from piracy. Its people pirating it that made Photoshop so popular. They easily recoup all the costs from piracy from charging companies 500-1000$ per computer, plus thousands of dollars in yearly maintenance fees. I work in Engineering, the software we run costs 25k, plus 5k yearly fees.
