Alright so I have to share my story as I am so very proud of Penny. So a few weeks ago, right after we had blood drawn, i had asked my vet about me setting up an Rx account at a local drug store, as it would save me money and he was cool with that, so I went to Wal-Greens. To put all 5 of my animals, all 4 dogs and Highway, the cat on an Rx program there cost me $35.00 a year and Penny's Pheno now cost me $9.99 for 100 pills instead of $25.00, like at my vet's office. This thing has already paid for itself :D So I asked when I was setting everything up if it was ok if I could bring Penny in with me next time. She said she didn't see why that would be a problem as she had seen other people int he store with their dogs. I asked if they were service dogs and she said no just regular people with dogs, I told her ok cause Penny was a therapy dog. She was like cool.

So last night we had to do our first refill. I called it in and an hour later, Penny and I went into Wal-Greens to get her medication. :D And nobody said anything to us. We are walking down the back aisle, cause the pharmacy is in the very back and there is a lady standing at the end of that aisle, Penny's tail starts wagginga nd the lady says " awww what a cute girl" I told her we were there to pick up her meds. SHe asked me what was wrong with her and I told her she had epilepsy and had to take Pheno everyday to keep it under control. I also told ehr about her being a therapy dog and she loved her booties and said it was really cool that she doesn't mind them being on her feet. Penny got lots of love from her. So we go stand in line to wait our turn, of course with people gawking, Penny was SUCH a good girl and did her "front" and she sat right there looking at me the whole time.

So we get up to the counter and the same girl that set up the Rx account was there and she just fell in love with Penny and got her Rx and came from behind the counter, cause Penny wouldn't jump up there, I told her she has been trained not too, lol. And Penny flopped on her back for eblly love, even the people that had been gawking laughed. She asked me what kind of dog she was and I proudly said, loud enough for ALL to hear. "American Pit Bull terrier" She looked at me and was like wow, I've never seen one so well behaved, she is such a good girl. ANd the lady that had been standing closest to us, moved away a little bit when I said what breed Penny was, but she asked me if she would bite her, and I looked at her and she was looking at the other lady petting Penny's belly and ten this guy with his daughter walks up and she says " Daddy, a doggie" and took off and sat next to Penny to give her love.

OMG the look on the dad's face was priceless and then the lady that asked if Penny would bite her bent down and gave her love. So she got love from li ke 4 people at Wal- greens, it was ooo awesome, I know it seems silly but I am so very proud of her. The little girl thought Penny's booties were very stylish and asked her daddy if their dog could have booties. ;)

too cute...what kinda material is the booties? I LOVE the parent look of horror with pitbull title being spoke.Parents grab kids and almost pulling off arms.THEN comes the register line where u GOTTA go.KIDS ALWAYS win there, even more so when i lean low and tell the kids he is sweety he wont bite.THe looks parents give are GREAT but normally cave and let kids pet dog.One girl mentioned she wanted a pitsbull momma and mother said "no,they are mean "that little girl said "Marco bites, that dog dont bite hows it mean momma? marco mean"(marco being a little yappy chi mix in mom's hand)I was so proud of that little girl.I have pitull stickers that i give the kids at petsmart and that little girl got hers and I hope her momma softens up with time.I SAID HOPE...=0)

You can go to www.nutra-9.com they look like balloons on her feet but are very durable. She can wear them on ice or hot pavement, I believe the booties are under the New items catagory on there and if you scroll down far enough you will see Penny's pic on there ;)

Yeah the little girl was the icing on the cake. I have another story of my red boy Phoenix at Petsmart and some woman not watching her kid, lol

lol one time I was standing in the check out line in PetsMart, Phoenix is being his usual good boy self and laying at my feet waiting for me to say let's go. The sliding glass doors open and this little girl, prolly about 20 months to 2 years comes toddling thru the door with the mother about 10 feet behind her. The little girl sees Phoenix and makes a mad dash to him, the mother didn't have enough time to get to her daughter before she got to Phoenix. Right as the little girl got to Phoenix she tripped and fell on him, landed on his belly and feet, he turned looked at the little girl and licked her whole face, she peeled with laughter and gave him a hug, the look on the mother's face, omg I still laugh about it to this day. SHe was terriefied, she looked at me and goes, "he's a ppit bull?" I said yep he sure is, she goes i was so scared he was gonna bite her, I told her that's what she's gets for not holding her daughters hand and for assuming that all pit bulls are mean and told Phoenix lets go, she stared after me with her mouth agape and the cashier was smiling from ear to ear. :D
