Just wondering why some topics have yay and nay and others just have nay?

I am not sure what you mean, are you asking about the thanks and groan? If so, you can only give a limited amount of thanks per day, same applies for groan. So if you gave a lot of thanks, you cant give anymore till the next day. So you will only see a groan. At least i think thats how it works, i am not sure if you get a certain number of Thanks and groan separately or if they are lumped as one. Infinity should be able to clarify.
